Ever wake up in the morning and have that dry mouth feeling? Maybe you have a slight headache, dry skin, or dark urine.
This is due to the 7-8 hours without water while sleeping at night.
In order to rehydrate your body, you should always begin your day with at least one full glass of water.
If you'd like to take it a step further, you can add some lemon and sea salt. This will replenish electrolytes, balance ph level, increase immune function, improve digestion, and fight inflammation.
A warm bedroom during the those hot summer nights, or if your body runs warmer than average while sleeping, can lead to even greater fluid loss and dehydration at night. In addition, if you breathe through your mouth instead of your nose while you slumber, your body will lose even more water. (Stay posted for a future blog post about the many benefits of nose breathing).
I've made drinking a full glass of water in the morning a routine and implemented it as the very first thing I do every single day. I hope you do as well!
